5-Step Guide to the Ideal Summer Morning Routine to Start Your Day Productive
Nothing feels better than a good morning routine! If my morning starts unproductively, chances are that the rest of my day will follow suit. This summer, my mission has been to establish a morning routine that I look forward to every day. It has been so life-changing, I knew I needed to share it!
Below are the daily habits that are guaranteed to begin your summer morning off on the right foot. If you do all of these things before 10 AM, no matter the order, there will be no better feeling.
Start Your Day in the Sunshine
If you begin your day getting Vitamin D, your body will thank you! Sunshine is so important to regulate your circadian rhythm. The sun will support your mood, reduce stress, and promote better sleep quality.
I also find that starting my day outdoors makes me want to spend more time outside during the rest of the day.
Movement
I aim to begin my day by going on a walk outside, killing two birds with one stone, Vitamin D and movement.
It doesn’t matter how you move, as long as you are moving your body. Whether I attend a workout class, go on a walk, or do a YouTube fitness routine, I feel so accomplished beginning my day with a workout. Movement is such a crucial part of maintaining not only my physical health but also my mental health because it boosts serotonin levels.
Prayer
Reading my Bible and praying in the morning has been a game-changer for my spiritual health. I have always enjoyed doing my devotional in the evening to wind myself down, but now that I have transitioned to the morning, I don’t think I will ever go back. Beginning my day in the Word aligns my heart with the Lord.
I find myself thinking and praying more as a result.
Skincare Routine
Look good, feel good, right? After a nice walk outside, there is nothing I want more than to wash my face and apply my favorite serums and moisturizers.

Morning Beverage
Best for last! My morning would not be complete without my favorite morning beverage, usually containing caffeine.
